Privacy Policy

Overview

Xplosole (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding data when you use our website and tools.

The short version: Xplosole has two kinds of tools. Browser tools — PDF, image, text, developer and calculator tools — run entirely on your device and send nothing anywhere. AI toolssend the text you enter to our own AI server so it can generate your result; we use it only to produce that output, we don't store it, and we never use it to train or improve any model. Two features of the Writing Assistant also use third-party APIs. All three cases are detailed below.

Data We Do Not Store

We never save or retain any of the following:

  • Files you upload or paste into our tools
  • Documents, images, or text you process
  • Passwords you generate or encode
  • Any personal information entered into tool inputs
  • Prompts or results from our AI tools

When you use one of our browser tools, every operation is performed entirely within your browser using JavaScript, and no data is sent to our servers at all. Our AI tools do transmit the text you enter, because generating the output requires a model to run on a server — see the section below for exactly what happens to it.

Data We May Collect

Like most websites, we collect standard, anonymized analytics data:

  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Browser type, operating system, and screen size (anonymized)
  • Country-level location data
  • Referring website
  • Which tools were used (tool name and category only — never the content you process)

This data is collected via Google Analytics 4 and is used solely to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics:

  • Collects anonymous usage data (pages visited, time on site, browser type, country)
  • Does not see any files, text, or content you process in our tools
  • Uses cookies to identify returning visitors anonymously
  • Tracks which tools are used (e.g. “pdf-merger was used”) — never the content processed by those tools

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • Remembering your dark/light mode preference
  • Google Analytics (anonymized traffic analysis)
  • Google AdSense (serving relevant advertisements)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some site features (like theme preference) may not work without cookies.

Advertising

Xplosole displays advertisements via Google AdSense to fund free access to our tools. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page.

AI Tools — How Your Input Is Handled

Xplosole runs 143 AI tools across 19 categories (Image Tools, Content Creators, Gen Z, Students, Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, Electricians, Programmers, HR, Accountants, IT Professionals, E-Commerce, Stock Traders, Crypto, Travel, Medical Tools, Mathematics). Unlike our browser tools, these need a language model to generate their output, so the text you enter does leave your device. Here is exactly what happens.

What is sent, and where

  • The text and options you enter into the tool, combined with that tool's fixed instructions, are sent over HTTPS as a prompt.
  • It goes to our own AI server, running an open-source model. Your input is not sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other AI provider.
  • No files are uploaded — AI tools take text input only.

🔒 What we do with it

  • It is used for exactly one purpose: generating the output you asked for.
  • We do not store it. There is no history, no saved transcript, and no way for us to retrieve what you typed after the response is returned.
  • We never use it to train or improve any AI model— not ours, not anyone else's.
  • We do not sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.

⚠️ Things worth knowing

  • AI output is generated automatically. It can be wrong or incomplete, and it is not legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice — see our Terms. Always have a qualified professional review anything consequential.
  • Because your input is transmitted, please avoid pasting passwords, API keys, government ID numbers, or client and patient records you are not permitted to share with a third party.
  • If you need a guarantee that nothing leaves your device, use one of our browser tools instead — every PDF, image, text, developer and calculator tool qualifies.

Writing Assistant — Third-Party Data Processing

The Writing Assistant tool uses three components with different privacy implications. You can disable any external component at any time using the feature toggles or the Private Mode switch inside the tool.

🔒 Spell Check (Private)

Runs entirely in your browser using the browser's built-in spell checker. No data leaves your device.

☁️ Grammar Check (External)

We use the LanguageTool API to analyse your text for grammar issues. When grammar check is enabled:

  • Your text is sent to LanguageTool's servers via HTTPS
  • LanguageTool processes the text and returns suggestions
  • Your text goes directly from your browser to LanguageTool — it does not pass through, and is not stored on, any Xplosole server
  • LanguageTool's privacy policy applies: languagetool.org/legal/privacy
  • LanguageTool states they do not store text from API requests

☁️ Translation (External)

We use the MyMemory Translation API. When translation is enabled:

  • Your text is sent to MyMemory's servers via HTTPS
  • MyMemory may store query strings to improve their translation memory
  • MyMemory's terms of service: mymemory.translated.net/doc/tos.php
  • For sensitive content, disable translation and use only spell check

Your Control

You can disable Grammar Check and Translation inside the tool using the feature toggles or the 🔒 Private Modeswitch, leaving only browser spell check enabled. Your preference is saved to your browser's localStorage.

Recommendation: Do not paste passwords, API keys, financial account numbers, government IDs, medical records, or other sensitive data into this tool while Grammar Check or Translation are enabled.
