How to Use Discord Bio Generator

  1. 1Enter your interests or hobbies — 'gaming, anime, coding, music production, art'. These are what the bio will actually be about.
  2. 2Add personality traits in the second field: 'introverted, sarcastic, chill, night owl, chaotic good'. This is what stops the bio reading like a list of hobbies.
  3. 3Click 'Generate Discord Bio'.
  4. 4You get five About Me options, each inside Discord's 190-character limit, plus five short status ideas and three username suggestions built from the same interests.
  5. 5Paste your choice into Discord under User Settings → Profiles → About Me, and use a status idea in the Custom Status field.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the character limit for a Discord About Me?

190 characters for the About Me on a free account. All five options are written to fit. Custom statuses are much shorter, which is why the status suggestions are kept under about 40 characters.

Can I use Markdown formatting in my Discord bio?

Yes — the About Me field renders Discord's Markdown, so bold, italics and links work. Emoji work too, though custom server emoji only display for Nitro users.

Why does it suggest usernames as well?

Because people usually rewrite a Discord profile all at once, and a handle built from the same interests as the bio hangs together better than one picked years ago for a different reason. Ignore them if your username is settled.

Are the five options different from each other?

Deliberately, yes — they range from fairly serious to fully casual, because a bio that suits a study server is the wrong bio for a gaming one. Pick by which server people will see it in.

Does this tool keep what I type?

No. Your interests and traits go to our own AI server over HTTPS, are used once to write the bios, then discarded. Nothing is stored and nothing is used to train a model. If our server is down, a backup AI provider may handle the request under its own data policy.

About Discord Bio Generator

A Discord About Me is read in a hover card, usually by someone deciding whether to reply to you in a server they just joined. It has 190 characters to make you look like a person rather than an account. The Discord Bio Generator writes five options at that length, in a range of tones, from the interests and traits you give it.

Traits do most of the work. Hobbies alone produce a bio that could belong to thousands of people; 'introverted, sarcastic, night owl' plus those hobbies produces one that sounds like someone specific. The two fields are separate for that reason.

The tool also returns five custom status ideas and three username suggestions drawn from the same input. A status is the line people see most often, and it is short enough that writing one from scratch is oddly hard — having five to pick from is usually faster than thinking of one.

This is an AI tool: your input is sent over HTTPS to our own AI server, which runs an open-source model, and used solely to generate the output. We don't store it and never use it for training. Free to use, no account, no limit. If our server is down, a backup AI provider may handle the request under its own data policy.
