What sizes are generated?
16×16, 32×32, 48×48 (browser/taskbar), 180×180 (Apple touch icon), 192×192 and 512×512 (PWA manifest icons).
Do I need an ICO file?
Modern browsers support PNG favicons. The included README explains which files to use and where. For legacy IE support you'd need an ICO file — most sites no longer need this.
What image should I start with?
Use at least a 512×512 pixel image for best quality at all sizes. Simple graphics with high contrast scale better than detailed photos.
