How to Use Timezone Converter

  1. 1Enter a date and time, or press 'Now' to use the current time.
  2. 2Choose the time zone that time is in. It starts on your own zone; pick New York (ET), say, for a meeting set by a US colleague.
  3. 3Read the same moment in every city on the list, each with its day and UTC offset. Add any city or time zone by typing its name, remove the ones you don't need, and move them up or down. Switch between 12- and 24-hour clocks.
  4. 4To find a meeting time, use the planner: each column is an hour of your day, coloured green where it's working hours for each city. Click an hour to use it, then 'Add to Google Calendar'.
  5. 5Check the day as well as the time: across the Pacific, a Monday evening in Los Angeles is already Tuesday in Sydney and Tokyo.
  6. 6Copy or share the list to send everyone the time in their own zone.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time is 9am New York in London and India?

On 15 October 2026, 9:00 AM in New York (EDT, UTC−4) is 2:00 PM in London (BST, UTC+1), 6:30 PM in India (IST, UTC+5:30) and 6:00 AM in Los Angeles. The gap changes during the year as clocks go forward and back, so enter your own date.

Does it handle daylight saving time?

Yes, for the date you enter. The US and Europe change their clocks on different dates, so the gap between them shifts for a week or two each spring and autumn. In 2026 the UK goes back an hour on 25 October and the US on 1 November, so for that week New York is 4 hours behind London instead of 5.

Which time zones are included?

All of them. The list starts with UTC and 19 major cities (New York, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Honolulu, São Paulo, London, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Dubai, India, Bangkok, Singapore, Shanghai, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney and Auckland), and you can add any of the roughly 400 zones your browser knows by typing a city: Karachi, Toronto, Lagos, Buenos Aires. Remove and reorder them as you like; a shared link keeps your list.

How do I find a meeting time across time zones?

Use the meeting planner under the list. It shows each hour of your day and what time that is in each city, coloured green for 9 to 5 locally and amber for early morning or evening. Look for a column that's green or amber for everyone, click it, and add the meeting to Google Calendar with the times for each city in the description.

What's the difference between GMT, UTC and BST?

UTC is the world's reference time; GMT is the same clock time and is what the UK uses in winter. In summer the UK switches to BST (British Summer Time), one hour ahead, UTC+1. The converter shows each zone's current offset from UTC for the date you choose.

How accurate is it?

It uses the time zone rules built into your browser (the IANA time zone database), which operating systems keep up to date, including each country's daylight-saving dates.

How do I convert a time between zones?

Pick the time and the zone it's in, then the zones you want — the converter shows them all instantly. The popular pairs above (Karachi ↔ London, Karachi ↔ New York, London ↔ New York, Karachi ↔ Dubai) set both zones in one tap.

About Timezone Converter

The Timezone Converter shows one moment in as many time zones as you need, so you can set a meeting time that works for everyone or check what time a deadline falls in another country. Enter a date and time, say which zone it's in, and every other city updates, with the day and its offset from UTC. The meeting planner then shows the whole day hour by hour, so the overlap in working hours is easy to spot.

Daylight saving is the usual trap. The US, UK and Europe change their clocks on different weekends, and much of Asia doesn't change at all, so the gap between two cities isn't fixed. The converter works out each city's time for the exact date you enter, using your browser's built-in time zone rules.

It runs in your browser, and the copy button gives a ready-made list of times to paste into an invite or a message.
